All features
Jenny Mod adds an interactive companion NPC to Minecraft along with a small set of items, custom animations, a communication menu and a spawn house. The features listed below cover the Java 1.12.2 build; the Bedrock addon is a lighter version of the same idea.
Companion NPC
The main NPC (Jenny) has follow, stay and wander behaviours. She can teleport to catch up with the player (with a purple sparkle effect), heal herself, fight nearby hostile mobs with a sword and carry items in a small inventory.
A relationship value increases through positive interaction and gifting, which unlocks additional dialogue and behaviours over time.
Items
Gift items include flowers, custom jewellery such as necklaces and rings, and small toys. There are also mod-specific potions covering teleportation, friendship and guardian effects, plus a handful of rare custom weapons.
The vanilla items diamond, emerald and gold ingot are what the player holds when starting most interactions, and each one gives a different reaction.
Animations and audio
Custom animations cover walking (with proper knee and elbow bend), combat swings, idle behaviour (looking around, fixing hair, waving), and emotional reactions triggered by dialogue.
Audio includes dialogue lines, laughter, reactive sounds and footstep effects, with in-game volume controls.
Interaction modes
A communication menu opens on interaction. Three broad play modes are exposed: Friendly, Adventure and Support. Each shifts how the NPC prioritises following, exploring or defending the player.
Structure
A custom spawn building with a tall pointed roof generates in Plains biomes. It is where the main NPC first appears and it stands out clearly against vanilla village buildings.
